
Laura Hunter is an actress, blogger, and social media junkie. She grew up in Northern Virginia, and at 18 left home to study acting in New York City at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. While in New York she studied at several prestigious conservatories: Atlantic Theatre Company, Lee Strasberg Institute, and T. Schreiber Studios.
Laura has appeared in television (As the World Turns, Criminal Minds, etc) independent films (Sisters, Redemption Falls) music videos (Stone Sour and Disney’s Lemonade Mouth) national commercials (Mortal Kombat, Kodak, etc) and print campaigns (Clearvision.)
Laura has also built a strong web presence as a blogger and YouTube content creator. She blogs for popular platforms NonSociety and Back Stage, covering the entertainment industry and events in her own career. In addition, she has created her own blogging platform: OffStageLines.com.
On YouTube, she has begun to create a variety of character sketches and short-form web series, which will expand over the 2012 year. Her Hillaree the Hillbilly series has been featured on FunnyorDie.com as well as Break.com. She also wrote and directed an entry into Celebrate the Web’s annual web pilot contest, called under[cover]employed, which was screened at VidCon 2012. In addition to her own internet projects, Laura also appears in the new BET web series, Lenox Avenue, as well as the award-winning interactive voice over project, Giskin Anomaly.
Laura currently lives in Los Angeles, California. Laura is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA.
